Dr Björn Mathes is new Member of the Board of DECHEMA Exhibitions

After starting his career at DECHEMA e.V. in 2010, Björn Mathes worked first in research and project coordination. He then established the B2B event format PRAXISforum and took over responsibility for Events and Committee Support in 2017. “I look forward to continuing the success story of ACHEMA with a powerful and competent team and to taking the most internationally renowned trade fair for the chemical process industry into the second century of its existence.” said the chemist. “"Bringing people from all over the world together in an innovative technology environment is a particularly exciting challenge, where I can contribute some of my previous experience.

Björn Mathes, born 1982, holds a PhD in Chemistry from Philipps-University Marburg and a Global Executive MBA from HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and Eada Business School Barcelona. From 2012 to 2017 he was a member of the board of the Association for Chemistry and Business (VCW).
